Play by play

Today was furlough day #1. I may have not gotten paid for the day off, but we made it a fun one!

We spent the day with some friends at Water Boggan in Emerald Isle. WOW, that place has changed a ton since the last time I was there in the 80s-90s! I vaguely remember going with my brother and with my girl scout troop...way back when.  Back then there were three slides. Those three are still there, but they have added a kiddie area with smaller slides and some climb on toys with a wading pool, and three 'bigger' slides (steep drop style). K has been excited to go since we started talking about it last week. He and his friend liked the kiddie section and they even went down the original slides several times. The other mom and I both tried out the 'bigger' slides. I tried to get K to go but he wasn't quite ready (and I'm not sure he was tall enough based on their height requirement...although there were some shorter kids that went). Maybe next time he'll give it a try.
